2020 in review
We had planned for a few new developments in February 2020. During the lockdown, we focused on providing our best possible services to our customers. During that period, we did not look at the developments on the desk, but, off the desk, we worked towards the projects which were postponed. As soon as the lockdown restrictions were lifted, we completed our first project — an in-house output of positive film for registration of male-female embossing blocks.
We have also started providing pre-makeready sheets, a one-of-its-own kind development from our company. These pre-makeready sheets have helped our customers save about 45 to 60 minutes per job on the machine. Another project is in pipeline and will be installed in February 2021.
Doing business during pandemic
Every sector has been affected since March 2020. Everyone is looking for something to survive. We have seen printers who were doing packaging jobs shift to pharma and FMCG. Till September, things were coming back to normal but around mid-October it slowed down again.
Investment stories
Couple of our clients have invested in new Bobst die-cutter with inline waste stripping function and new Bobst folder-gluer machines. This will definitely increase the demands for high-quality tools for achieving maximum output, because we believe #toolingmatters.
