What is your idea of a perfect print firm in India?
In the present scenario, a perfect print firm must have all the processes, software to equipment – from estimation to delivery – under one roof.
What is the trickiest colour that you have had to print?
I always found a particular share of violet different during and after the printing.
What is the quality you seek when you hire?
Work efficiency and honesty.
When and which print job or project made you the happiest?
A print job for the Thapar Group in 2000.
What is your most ‘wow’ moment (print / non-print)?
It was during the PrintPack India exhibition when I bought my first new Komori printing press eight years ago.
Describe your day in two sentences?
It begins with a few easy steps of yoga in the morning. I accompany my wife – Malvika Gulati, to her office and head to my factory, where I spend about 8-10 hours before returning home.
The current fact file (turnover / people / machines) of your press?
Established in 2002, Advantage Offset employs more than 55 people with three Komori printing presses and pre- and post-press facilities. Advantage has ordered the fourth Komori press during Pamex.
Which printing technology do you prefer? Why?
I like offset technology because I am familiar with it and find it suitable for most of our printing requirements.
One print blunder you made?
I bought a pre-owned multicolour printing press on the suggestions of one of my mechanics. That decision pushed me at least five years behind.
One job you wish you had printed?
No, I haven’t found any job yet. We can print most jobs with our existing set-up.
What is the greatest strength of your printing firm?
Our strength is commercial print production with quality print and quick delivery, at competitive prices.
