Customers get an opportunity to try out different types of media based on the end usage

Why a demo centre?
Seeing is believing. The idea was to give our customers an opportunity to explore the printing machines and applications offered by Colorjet. The demo centre reflects the identity of the company within the framework of the wide-format printing industry. The space is used for demonstration of various products and applications that are exclusively designed at Colorjet’s Demo Centre. Any customer can come and see a live demo of our printers.

Machines on the floor
We have solvent, eco-solvent, dye sublimation, UV and soft signage printers at the centre.

How is it done?
The Colorjet demo centre provides its customers with various design applications on different types of mediums based on the end usage. The applications range from creating patterns, textures, 3D printing, digital printing on paper, wood, tiles, and glass are on display along with a wide range of digital printing machines. A typical product demonstration is a tour of the product’s features and functions along with a suggested machine as per the customer’s need. Also, our team shares our existing customer’s success stories associated with the product. This plays a key role in making investment decisions. A typical training provided to our machine operator and service engineers is about 360 degrees productivity of our machines, exact colour management programme, ink consumption optimisation and after-sales and support.

Visitors
The investment decision depends on the customers. Sometimes a customer visits the demo centre and picks a machine in one go and buys it instantly. Sometimes, it takes multiple visits to the demo centre, printing on different substrates. It’s a huge investment for a customer. So it takes time to make the final decision.

What’s special?
We have an in-house design team which creates unique designs and graphics for the Colorjet machines. For the application gallery, we focus on creating the best of backlit boards, ceramic walls, and tiles.  We have the Colorjet Academy that provides a platform to learn new technologies and trends in the industry. It is a specialised training program for machine operators, service engineers, marketing professionals and fashion designers.

USP
A variety of unconventional materials are used in the designs of the demo centre. Brick tiles are used for the feature wall behind the reception at the entrance lobby that also serves as the backdrop to the displayed artwork. Bamboo is used in the false ceiling to add levels in the spatial volume of the rooms. The false ceiling further adds a natural texture to the interior space. Jute ropes are used in conjunction with wood and bamboo that serve the purpose of tieing various members and also add aesthetic value to the template. Different sizes and colours are used to design lampshades that are suspended in the double height areas.
