When did you decide to join the business?
In 2004. After I was threatened ‘either you take over or the business is going on the block.

Where do you learn the tricks of the trade? In an executive education programme or on the job?
On the job! I was a banker before taking over the business!

What is your greatest print / business achievement to date?
Being the first printing company in India to get on board the real print-on-demand model; one copy printing!

What technology has made the biggest difference to your business? The best break-through in print technology in the past hundred years
Digital printing technology. Always believe that the next break-through is the best of the break-throughs and they will never remain the best forever!

What do you prefer: a mentor in the industry or brain storming with like-aged?
Initially, a mentor for sure, to learn the tricks of the trade...

The most frequently used mantra in your organisation? Your motto in life?
Be there first! Do it fast!

If you won Rs 25 crores what would you invest in? Why?
With the present business scenario, I would put it in FDs.

When are you going to give “printing” an industry status?

Appreciate it, for sure!

What is your greatest print / business achievement to date?
When I finished printing a copy of a book while the CEO of a publishing house finished seeing my press!
