Taiwan’s TCI adopts HP Indigo to deliver smart, sustainable packaging

TCI Co, a global provider of health food and skincare products, is adopting HP Indigo digital printing to expand packaging production with a more flexible, customisable and sustainable solution for its worldwide brand customers. In a strategic move toward bringing packaging production in-house, TCI has purchased an HP Indigo 20000 digital press for flexible packaging via HP Indigo channel partner GrandTech. “The new HP digital capabilities will enable TCI to deliver products with personalisation to attract consumer loyalty as well as the flexibility to fit brand requests. We want to offer products each with a unique ID to enable unlimited imagination when connecting to the internet,” said Vincent Lin, chairman of TCI Co.

As an influential product development supplier, TCI also puts high priority on sustainability in production. “We pride ourselves on being a green manufacturer and focus on building a circular economy, sourcing renewable energy, and achieving net-zero carbon emissions,” Lin added.

TCI is a rapidly growing company that develops and produces tailored health food and skincare products, focusing on private labelling, including the expanding market trend of beverage sachets and facial masks. TCI today serves over 1100 brand partners in 54 countries.

“TCI’s move embraces the power of HP Indigo digital printing, offering a twofold disruption of the flexible packaging market with variable data printing for engaging personalization and print security, in addition to the incremental benefit of a more sustainable solution,” said Oran Sokol, director and general manager, HP industrial business, Asia Pacific & Japan.

The HP Indigo 20000 is a 762-mm mid-web solution that captures the vast majority of flexible packaging, pressure-sensitive label, shrink sleeve, wrap-around label, and in-mould labelling (IML) applications. Manufactured carbon neutral, the HP Indigo 20000 also offers reduced production waste and energy efficiency.
