Omet opens subsidiary in India

With the opening of Omet India, we look forward to increasing our ever-growing list of customers and also provide highly customised technical solutions to printers, as we are a global leader in providing such solutions”

Weldon Celloplast, who has been exclusively selling and servicing Omet machines in India since 2010, will continue to be the company’s Indian representatives along with other partners. Weldon’s Pawandeep Sahni has been appointed to lead Omet in the Indian subcontinent. He said, “The vision of establishing Omet India is to strengthen our existing relationships with our partners and provide a great service experience to our customers all over the region”

According to Omet, the driving force behind opening the new office is that it India as one of its important strategic markets. Also, considering that India is on its way to becoming a five trillion USD economy by 2024-25. “In the coming years we expect Omet India to become yet another centre of excellence for us, in addition to our subsidiaries in the USA, China and Spain,” said Marco Calcagni, sales and marketing director, OMET Srl.

Sanjeev Sondhi of Zircon Technologies who runs multiple Omet presses said, “It is a very positive initiative for Omet to invest in an office in India. The machines business units of Omet include label and package printing machines following and tissue converting machines. It specilaises in narrow-web flexo printing machines.
