Nageen Prakashan, a subsidiary of Nageen Group, was founded and established in 1966 by Nageen Chand Jain – an educationalist and philanthropist. Ever since, the company has grown from printing and publishing to printing packaging vertical.

Nageen Group is now led by Mohit Jain – CMD. Nageen Group’s subsidiary companies include Nageen Prakashan, Nageen Education, Little Kingdom, Nageen Art Gallery, Mittimate, and Nageen Print-Pack. Nageen Print-Pack forms the major constituent of the Group.

According to Jain, the recent demand and advances in printing and packaging has led to the expansion of the industry.

Jain said, “The need for fast turnaround times for development and sampling led us to invest in Esko Kongsberg, which is the best colour matching and CAD designing 3D visualisation and proofing software in the industry.”

Similarly, with the installation of the Indus Print ERP system, the Meerut-based Nageen Print-Pack has enabled business process automation at its facility.

“To manage MIS operations for estimation, purchase, creation of job cards, production and invoice, we were looking for an ERP system,” Jain said. “During the Covid-19 situation, we found Indus Analytics and worked with them to set up a turnkey system.”

Jain said the system was “installed efficiently in a very short time” by Parmeshwar Patidar of Indus Analytics and his team. The cloud-based ERP system has many features related to estimation and costing, purchase, invoicing, and paper and material.

“We can now effectively create job cards and monitor our day-to-day production,” Jain added. “Indus Analytics ERP system is an excellent choice for the print industry and we at Nageen Print-Pack are set to achieve our quality and productivity targets at a reduced cost to improve customer satisfaction.”

Nageen Print-Pack’s facility includes well-maintained printing presses with four-colour, six-colour and 10-colour offset presses, and screen printing machines. Jain said all machines are capable of printing metallics, Pantones, extended colour gamut, MetPET, drip-off, UV and special effects.

Also, the company has recently invested in a Bobst Novacut 106 and a Bobst Expert folder gluer apart from blanking and hot stamping kits.

According to Jain, majority of Nageen’s clients are from healthcare and pharma, food packaging and FMCG segments. Apart from producing mono cartons, labels and boxes, the company’s R&D team also offers customised packaging solutions for its customers.

“We have new products in the pipeline. These include activity-based toys, puzzles and learning toys for toddlers and children of all age groups. These will be made available in the market under the brand name of Chota Kingdom and Mittimate,” Jain concluded.
