Mehta Cad Cam introduces Rex, a new digital cutting system

The machine can be used for cutting materials such as corrugated cardboard and sun pack material which is widely used to make sample boxes and sample standees. It also has a camera system (optional) whenever one wants to cut borders after printing.

The flatbed cutting plotter is equipped with a multi-axis control system and had two- and three-holder systems. “Any two tools can be fit in two holder system as per requirement and in three holder system any two tools along with one spindle as the third tool can be fitted,” said Shailesh Mehta, managing director at Mehta Cad Cam.

Mehta Cad Cam has developed eleven varieties of tools for various applications on different materials. “Rex plotters are available with or without conveyor belt system. When the media is available in roll form and one wants to cut it continuously without any interval, the conveyor belt is used which saves lots of time of loading and unloading which gives great productivity,” said Mehta.

The Rex system can be custom-built, however, the standard configuration available are: 4x8ft, 6x10ft, 8x10ft sizes.
