Bobst believes packaging is recession-free. Therefore it will focus on live demos and show how packagers can operate more efficiently and cost-effectively. Venugopal Menon, zone business director BU printing and converting – Indian sub-continent for Bobst, said the Accucheck kit can detect all kinds of defects on a box and also eject non-confirming boxes before it's delivered to the customer. The Accucheck -II is an inline inspection system mounted on the folder-gluer ensuring zero fault packaging.

Menon said the Novacut 106 3.0 is a flatbed die-cutter third generation of the Novacut series launched in 2020. The new features which have been incorporated will lead to minimal stoppages on the machine, more automation and will ensure an even faster job changeover. There are more than 40 Novacut 106 3.0 die-cutter machines installed in India. Some of Bobst’s A-List clients are Parksons Packaging, TCPL, Focus Print, Agarwal Packaging, Khosla Printers, Yamir Packaging, Global Print and Packaging, Miracle, and Sushant Packaging among others.

Bobst has deployed its 25-year experience with its Registron technology while developing the Accucheck kit, which when fitted as an inline inspection system on the Masterfold 75/110 or Expertfold 50/80/110 machines carefully checks carton blanks for defects. “It guarantees complete quality consistency. This highly flexible tool allows you to inspect different box areas according to various quality criteria while remaining easy and quick to operate,” says Menon. Bobst has added a new feature – checking embossing and foiling registration, along with metalised cartons to high precision. Menon explains, “It can detect variation in colours, smears, missing prints, missing letters, carton damages, spots, print-to-cut registration at a maximum speed of 350 mtr/min.”

The Novacut 106E is a folder-gluer with a production speed of up to 8,000 sh/hr and can convert stock from 80 to 2,000 gsm, and corrugated up to 4mm thick in maximum size of 1060x760mm and a minimum size of 400x350mm.

Menon asserts that the Accucheck ensures that customers can offer zero-fault packaging to their end customers and set a quality benchmark while the Novacut 3.0, which he considers a workhorse when it comes to die-cutting various substrates, has set a benchmark in terms of productivity and quality in our market. “Any entrepreneur who is seriously contemplating packaging as their core business has to judiciously decide on the right partner to handhold him and make his business a win-win and a profitable venture. It’s very important to adopt the right technology which is future-ready and can add value to his or her product offering. Bobst offers all the innovative and best in class solutions which can make the businesses more profitable, and cost-effective, which is also future-ready and connect-ready and help packaging converters set benchmarks in productivity and help them achieve the fastest turnaround time to make them the most reliable suppliers to their end customer.”
