Label Printer of the Year: Kumar Labels

The label for Phoenix Distillery Nepal uses uncoated paper with hot foil and screen deposit, making it worthy of decorating a newly launched whisky. Special feature includes intricate die-cutting. Total 1,000 labels in sheet form are printed utilising pre-grained Maplitho paper on Bang Sung BSR-30 intermittent letterpress. 

 

Jim Beam for Beam Suntory, the popular bourbon label, boasts premium matt look with hot foil and carefully registered screen embossing done offline. Special features include dense matt black, precise hot foil, and screen embossing by screen process on signatures. More than 5,00,000 labels in both roll and sheet form are printed on self-adhesive chromo paper and 80gsm cast-coated paper on a Bang Sung BSR-30 intermittent letterpress. 

 

The label Sette Wine for Fratelli Wines complements the smoothness of the wine that it decorates with its velvet feel. The foil embossed brand name and raised signatures bring out the class the wine stands for. Special features include replica of the signature done with screen process. The labels are printed on self-adhesive chromo paper on Bang Sung semi-rotary letterpress and Worldtech silk screen. More than 1,00,000 labels are printed. 

 

The Wood Box Label for Organic India has been created for wooden boxes carrying high-quality tea. The label boasts classy wood-like finish complementing the box and its organic content. Special features include real feel of wood achieved through graining, selective abrasive varnish zones, high deposit crystal coating to give embossed feel on brand name and logo. The labels are printed with self-adhesive Maplitho paper on a Gallus EM280 and Worldtech silk screen. Graining is added during post-press. Total 10,000 labels are printed.
