By 01 Jul 2016

Ahmedabad-bsaed digital equipment supplier Arrow Digital has inked an exclusive distributorship deal with Israel-based manufacturer of 3D printing machines Massivit 3D.

Massivit 1800

The 3D printer manufacturer created ripples at Drupa when it launched its Massivit 1800 system, which it claimed is “the largest, fastest and most advanced large-format 3D printing equipment”.

The Massivit 1800 has been in development since 2013 and first became available for purchase at the beginning of this year. The machine can produce objects with a footprint of up to 1.17x1.5m and 1.8m tall. The LED cured printer uses Massivit white photo-polymeric material.

The Massivit 1800 is based on the company’s proprietary GDP (Gel Dispensing Printing) technology.

It can produce 3D objects at speeds of 35cm (1ft) per hour. The system is also equipped with dual process option which allows for easy printing of two different objects in parallel.

According to Arrow Digital, which is now responsible for the sales and after-sales service of this product in India, the machine is aimed at service providers, scenic fabricators and 3D service bureaus to produce unique, customised, large format 3D figures for a variety of uses for advertising, events design, theming of environments and more.

At Drupa, the manufacturer sold its first Asian machine to Hong Kong's visual display specialist Standard Chan.
