ABC: Dainik Bhaskar is the second most circulated newspaper in Bihar

Print media giants DB Corp announced the ascent of their flagship daily Dainik Bhaskar’s rise to the second most circulated newspaper in Bihar, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) report.

In the recently released January-June 2019 report, Dainik Bhaskar with a circulation of 6 lakh 1 thousand 208 in Bihar claimed the second spot, which is just 16% less than the leaders Hindustan.

Since its 2004 entry in Bihar with the Patna edition, Bhaskar now has four major version in Bihar - Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur and is said to have reached all 38 districts as of March 2018.

Furthermore, last year, the Hansa Research Group undertook a commissioned Bihar Readership Research in July 2018 and reported Dainik Bhaskar as the second largest newspaper with an average issue readership (AIR) of 9.11 lakh in Bihar, while the leaders held an AIR of 9.98 lakh readers. The same report stated Dainik Bhaskar to be at the top in Patna city with an AIR of 5.07 lakh readers.
