What does the machine do?
At Rave, the Sakurai Maestro MS102AII screen cylinder press is used for myriad special effects. We do some exclusive glistering high-breed and UV work for niche corporate clients and advertising agencies.

Why did you choose this particular machine?
The machine is ideal for overall UV work and spot coating. We had some pressing demands for value addition on the job work for creating effects after printing.
 
Why did you make the purchase? 
Like aforesaid, the increasing requirement of discerning clients who wanted an extra edge in post-print  applications. 
 
What features do you particularly like?
All effects have their uniqueness but the machine has some great capability for printing on various soft and semi-rigid substrates like paper, plastic sheet, film and metallic sheet. Hairline registration is guaranteed at high print speeds.
 
Is there anything that you dislike?
No. This is a great machine and we are still exploring. The more we use it, the more we like it.
 
Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
It is a wholesome stand-alone machine in itself.
 
How fast is it?
It offers quick turnaround time and 4,000 iph per hour.
 
How reliable is it?
A good machine with robust construction and round the clock ability to deliver quality.  
 
What’s the quality like?
Unmatched and unparalleled. It’s an ideal machine for advertising jobs that require long life and sharpness. This is a distinctive USP for screen printing. 
 
How easy is it to use?
It’s easy once the applications that it can provide are known.
 
How much time or money has it saved? 
When in optimum use, it saves both. Long print runs like 10,000 to 50,000 sheets entail a saving of 30% with a running time of two shifts.
 
Has it won you any new work? 
Yes, it has. We have got some direct and indirect customers. With limited use, we have gained 25% on value and hope to increase this figure to 50% when we start utilising it at full capacity.
 
Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes, it’s certainly worth the investment.
 
Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
No. It was a smooth affair. 
 
What about the pre and after-sale service?
The service is good. However the machine is still not fully used, since many applications have yet to be made understandable. 
 
Who do you think the machine is right for?
All kinds of special effect jobs with enormous amount of value addition.
 
Under what circumstances would you buy another?
Once we are fully conversant with all the applications and utilise it to fullest, we will opt for a second one.
