Xeikon organises a three-day technology event

Xeikon recently organised a special event showcasing the rotary process digital printing technology for printing labels, packaging and transfer applications.

Held in their Belgium plant, the event was a success with the participation of around 70 label and package convertors from across the globe.

Flexo Image Graphics, the sole distributor for Xeikon in India (labels and packaging industry) ensured participation from India.

The three-day event started with a brief by Wim Maes, CEO, Xeikon, about the integrated graphic art group of Xeikon and its financials, sales evolutions and strategic directions for its future.

Flip Weymaens, marketing and business development manager for Xeikon made detailed presentations explaining the details about Xeikon's adaptation of technologies like electro photography, full rotary principal, dry toners, and substrates in it's digital label presses.

The research and development team of Xeikon organised workshops for the participants educating them about the economical advantages of using Xeikon digital label press, substrates printable on Xeikon 3000 Series; it's applications, finishing equipment for Xeikon engines, QA-I dry toner for the Xeikon presses and Xeikon’s X800 workflow.

The participants were given an opportunity to witness the assembling process of the digital presses. During their visit to W&R and Telrol; two mid and large sized label convertors in Tilburg, the prospective clients for Xeikon were assured about the negligible downtime of the Xeikon 3300 digital press and it's maximum productivity and profitability.

Xeikon’s attempt to explain it's technology, business model and printing cost was appreciated by the participants.
