Wohlenberg adds three perfect binders to its product line

Wohlenberg, one of the world leaders in perfect binding systems, has launched three new systems: Quickmax, Vento and Phoenix.

The first of such a series, Lucro has already been introduced in the Indian market."

Lucro is specially designed to provide the state-of-art binding process with ruggedness needed in markets like India. CDC Printers, the Kolkata-based commercial printer has invested in a Wohlenberg's Lucro 5000 at Drupa 2012.

The fully-automated Quickmax is available in Compact, Halfline and Inline, with a manual product infeed into the clamp on the former two versions. It also has a delivery lift for gentle product transportation with a gripper system for light products.

The inline version can be coupled with a gathering machine, book block feeder and loose-leaf digital printer. It can handle substrate thicknesses from 2 mm to 70 mm at 500 to 2000 cycles per hour depending on the version in use. The product width ranges from 105 mm to 320 mm.

Vento provides two preparation systems viz. spine gluing with hot-melt and PUR or PVA, with side gluing using hot-melt or PUR on both its Universal and Dynamic systems. 

Phoenix offers 23 coated clamps in short version while 30 coated clamps in long version. It incorporates four spine preparation stations and can handle cold glue, hot-melt or PUR with additional side glue capabilities for hot-melt or PUR.
