West Coast announces completion of its Rs 1,375 crore expansion plan

Bengaluru-based West Coast Paper Mills has completed its massive expansion program at its existing plant at Dandeli in Karnataka with a capital outlay of Rs 1,375 crore.

The investment includes a wide range of paper machinery such as the paper machine from Voith Germany, reel wrapping machine from Raumaster, A4 line cutter from Bielomatik, synchro sheeters from Miltex and Pizzolato, ream wrapping machine from Marushi, elemental chlorine free fibre line from Metso, chemical recovery boiler from Enmas-Andritz,  carbon dioxide plant from Uhde India, evaporator line from Alfa Laval, turbo generator set from Bhel, and a boiler from Thermax.

With this expansion, the paper production capacity of the company has increased from 1,80,000 tonnes per annum to 3,20,000 tonnes per annum and significantly power generation capacity has also increased by 75%.
