What brought you to the Pamex show in the first place?
Am planning to invest in new machinery.

Something you learnt about for the first time at the Pamex show?
Nothing.

Most interesting post-press opeartion that you saw at Pmex?
Hard-case binding.

If we gave you a blank cheque, what would you buy at Pamex, name the product.
Komori offset machine.

Did you always want to be a printer?
Never. Being a printer is a punishment. I would not advice anyone to become a printer.
 
If you hadn’t joined the business of printing, what do you think you would have ended up doing?
I would have joined our publication business.

If you could be born a great print technocrat or a very rich print CEO, which one would you choose?
I want to be a great printer above evrtyhing else.

CMYK or RGB.
CMYK.

Choose: offset or digital?
Digital, in the coming times.

Do you read? Is there any book that you’re particularly enjoying at the moment?
I am into printing business with noe time to read or do marketing.

A manufacturer at Pamex, whose factory you would like to visit?
Komori and Heidelberg. I have already been booked for a visit to Grafica Flextronica factory in January 2012.

Do you visit trade shows? Is there anything that you are particularly impressed with at the moment?
Yes! absolutely. I visit about ten trade shows in a year. Apart from that, JJ Imprints has been a regular participant at international book fairs like Frankfurt, London, Cape Town, Mexico book fairs since the past 20 years.
 
The next print trade show you are looking forward to?
Drupa 2012.

What’s the best print technology you’ve seen in the last five years?
UV in screen printing. It’s tremendous.

The one thing print software does which they didn’t do ten years ago?
It is yet to be invented.

You have to produce a print job on the show ground. Choose a technology.
I would go for digital.
