50 Versants in India, good success rate in Mumbai

Xerox has had a dream run with 50 units of the Versant 80 being installed in 2015. A good indicator is the presence of the Versant 80 across Western India, especially Mumbai. The press launched in 2015 has received good reviews for its 10 bit technology and media flexibility. Top print service providers in Mumbai such as Genesis Imaging, Inndus Cards and Gifts and Manifold Graphics have installed the press.

Balaji Rajagopalan, executive director, Xerox India, said, "The total digital market will reach 225% of the 2013 value by 2024, according to a new market report by Smithers Pira. Furthermore, increasing versioning and personalisation has helped make print more targeted to end users which is increasingly important as the digital world continues to become more and more connected." he added, "Very recently launched digital presses like C60/70, Versant 80, Versant 2100 and ColorPress 1000i have all seen a good update in the market with already more than 100 units of C60 alone installed across regions in the country." 
 
Suresh Satiya, one of the directors in Stanart Print who has promoted a new company called Genesis Imaging that have purchased the Xerox Versant 80. Satiya, said, "Versant 80 is a digital press with great in-class features. I’m deeply satisfied with it's performance after using it for over three months. We run multiple media's and the machine’s matte finish is as good an output as of one of the best digital printing machines in the industry. We have been using 350 gsm paper, met pet (foil) and transparent sheets that run seamlessly on the press”.
 
The Genesis Imaging team is happy with its performance after using it for two months. The highlights: "A superb output quality and matt finish." Since, the Versant does not require any coating or varnish before printing, Genesis can run all media types up to 350 gsm without any trouble (including textured media), especially 350 gsm board, Metpet (foil) and transparent sheets etc.
