TPH expands its global presence

The Printers House (TPH) has pinned the year 2011-12 as its most productive year in terms of orders, production capacity and turnover owing to the pre-Drupa orders from Indian and overseas newspaper publishers.

The Faridabad-based web offset manufacturer has supplied five new printing presses to HT Media Ventures for its printing facilities at Gaya, Aligarh, Lucknow and Varansi. The five lines of Orient Super web presses will be utilised for printing 20 pages broadsheet newspaper.

The manufacturer has recently supplied Sandesh, a leading Gujarati newspaper and Assam Tribune, a leading English newspaper of the North-East region, an Orient X-Cel, which can produce 20-pages broadsheet newspaper.

Another newspaper in north-east Sadin has increased the pagination for their two presses located at Guwahati and Dibrugarh. Both the facilities have added four Hi towers of Orient Super (30,000 cph) with a cut-off of 560mm. TPH has also secured a repeat order for an Orient X-Cel 36000 press from Lokmat for its Sholapur and Akola print centres in Maharashtra.

Agra-based Upkar Prakashan has placed orders for the Orient X-Cel press and two 4Hi towers, to augment its book printing capacity. Upkar Prakashan currently houses seven presses from TPH.

Manipal Press has ordered an Orient Super press consisting of two 4Hi towers with a folder and a quarter-page folder. Parksons Graphics (Mumbai) has placed an order for Orient Super 4Hi tower press; Sai Offset (Kolhapur) has ordered for Orient Super 4Hi tower web press. Magic International (Noida) has placed an order for a single colour web press.

TPH secures firm base in overseas markets
Unique Group, a diversified corporate house of Bangladesh, has chosen TPH as their partner for their new venture to print a newspaper titled ‘Dainik Amader Shomoy’. Their new Orient X-Celpress of 560 mm cut-off comprises of two 4Hi towers, two 3-colour satellite with stacker and one folder.

Transcraft, publishers of Prothom Alo and Daily Star in Bangladesh have reinforced their business ties with TPH by ordering two additional Orient Super 4Hi towers of 560 mm cut-off. Their newspapers are expected to strengthen their dominance in the market with increased colour pagination after installation of the additional equipment in May 2012. Dainik Azadi (Chittagong) too has invested in a 4Hi tower to their existing Orient Super press of 578 mm cut-off to increase colour pagination.

The opening up of North African market has augured well for TPH as it has secured an order for Orient Super press of 560 mm cut-off,  two 4Hi towers and one 2Hi tower with one folder and four auto reel-changers.

TPH's breakthrough in CIS region
TPH’s partnership with KBA Germany has secured a breakthrough in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent State) region. TPH has secured order for one 4Hi tower press from a book printer in Uzbekistan and has supplied a small press to a book-printing customer in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

A leading Vietnamese government owned newspaper printing company, which was earlier a Goss customer, has bought a 578 mm cut-off Orient Super press to print an 8-page regional newspaper in tabloid format in 2+2 colour.The new machine is in successful commercial production.
