Sai Packaging is a packaging converting company which is on a massive expansion path signed an agreement during Labelexpo. Priyata Raghavan and Arvind Sekhar, the directors of Sai Packaging are seeking to improve the flexographic capabilities of the company.

Arvind said: "The Gallus ECS 340 allows us virtually any combination of inks, adhesives, coatings and substrates, with minimal waste in set-up and changeover. We look forward to improving service levels to customers in pharma and FMCG sectors."

Meanwhile the launch and live demonstrations of the Gallus ECS 340 created ripples at the show due to its granite base. The solidity of the granite creates fewer vibrations in the press than a normal steel base and it is immune to thermal activity as it does not expand or contract. It operates silently and with stability.

According to a Gallus spokesperson, the granite core ensured, "the press has a long service life. The UV drying generates no exhaust air plus the machine’s short web path of 1.1 m between printing units cuts waste."
