The company has bought two Speedmaster CD 102 four-colour presses, one of which features a coater.

The firm completed its undisclosed spend with two 115-X Polar guillotines and a Stahlfolder KH-78.

Speaking on Heidelberg's stand in Hall 8, Rakesh Bhatnagar, Rave India managing director, said: "We will redefine the printing land-scape in India with these latest machines. We were the first printer in South East Asia to buy a Heidelberg XL-105 in 2006.

"With this latest buy, we have a fleet of 20 Heidelberg machines across the pre-press, press and post-press platforms, to provide powerful printing solutions that create real added value for our customers."

Thomas Frank, senior vice-president, sheetfed and post-press solutions at Heidelberg Asia Pacific said: "Rave is a perfect example of how the printing industry in India is developing. They have invested a

lot in modern and innovative technology over the past years. It also proves that our solutions approach is right for emerging markets, too."

Rave said the coater configuration of one of the presses will shorten turnaround times and increase flexibility for the firm's packaging and pharmaceutical clients. The 350-staff company is also in the process of rolling out Heidelberg's Prinect workflow.

The company has been trading for 17 years and started out as a small repro house. It now operates in a number of markets and has a turnover of INR 300m (£4.4m).
