Established in 1999, PRS Permacel is a major player in automotive graphic. The company has housed the new kit in its newly inaugurated modern site at MIDC’s Additional Ambernath Industrial Area in Thane dist, about 60 km north-east of Mumbai.

Annoucing the installation, Bhargav Mistry, managing director of Grafica, said: “Grafica’s Cylinder Press with inline wicket dryers find application in a wide range of industrial screen printing such as automotive decals, industrial labels, ceramic transfers for high accuracy and faster production.” He added: “Earlier the industrial screen printing firms used to employ semi-automatic screen printing machines, but now there’s a move towards full automation.

According to Mistry, UV has not made much progress in the screen printing segment, hence automotive graphic printers have to depend on solvent medium. “Wicket dryer along with an automatic screen printing machine are the best solution to speed up production. Wicket dryer is an online racking system as against the traditional system of manual racking system for  drying the screen printed jobs,” he said.
