The ninth edition of Awards will be a week-long evaluation process, again judged by members from across the spectrum of print technologists, print buyers, creative heads, and marketers. The tweak to the process of evaluation is based on the feedback from the jury during the past seven editions and success of the eighth edition.

This will give the esteemed jury more time to judge the 1000+ print jobs that have poured in. Last year, PrintWeek India received samples from 132 print firms. 28 Jury members comprising of print buyers and print specialists painstakingly selected these from more than 1,100 samples. This year too top print firms across India have sent in their print entries.

PrintWeek India Awards in its ninth edition is slated to be bigger and better. Talking about the shift in the venue, Ramu Ramanathan, editor, PrintWeek India, said, “The reason is twofold. This will ensure that the budding print and packaging technologists to learn about the latest technologies and applications of print. Plus a great platform for the students to interact with the Jury who are industry leaders.”

Prasad Iyer, head of the department, Printing & Packaging Technology at SIES Graduate School of Technology, said, “This activity will certainly add value to our institute and help in enhancing industry-institute interactions.”

SIES GST college in Navi Mumbai offers Bachelor of Engineering in Printing and Packaging technology along with other courses. Every year, print technologists from the college have been instrumental in the success of PrintWeek India Awards and special projects or surveys.
