A Pamex launch for the Imagepress C10000 VP

“It was time that the printers upgraded to producing 100 high quality print pages per minute. And the newly launched C10000 VP from Canon’s Imagepress stable delivers just that,” said Puneet Datta, director, professional printing products division, Canon India.

At Pamex 2015, which opened today, Canon India launched the C10000 VP. The machine is an upgrade at various levels to its predecessors, first introduced in Ipex in 2007.

The make of the machine is such as to produce 100ppm in colour with a 2400x2400 dpi resolution. Upgrades have also been made in the front end and the finishing assembly contributing to, according to Datta, a better imaging process.

“The front end controllers are based on EFI Fiery FS200 Pro platform, supporting the engine with better workflow and media handling capabilities. The C10000 VP can handle media from 60gsm to 350gsm,” added Datta.

Today, the Imagepress enjoys 160+ install base in the country. With the new upgrade the numbers are likely to move upwards. “Digital equipment come with a life of five to seven years, going on to make the previous technology obsolete. Technological innovations are key to drawing a parallel between market demands and trends. Keeping pace with the changing customer preferences, this launch is at the most opportune time.”

The C10000 VP, according to Datta, will be available at about 40-60% increased price of the previous models.
