Michelman's India chapter

This is the new business and technology centre developed in Mumbai, following the acquisition of Supack International, early this year.

 

The grand opening of newly formed entitiy, Michelman India, will take place in the presence of Dr Rick Michelman, a board member and the third generation into the firm; Steven Wong, vice president and managing director – Asia Pacific; and Pankaj Shah, the co-director of Michelman India along with Wong, among other representatives of both the firms.

 

Michelman India's laboratory has been equipped with several industry accepted product testing capabilities for packaging, printing, and coating applications and according to Shah, the growing printing and packaging sector is the company's immediate focus.

Michelman’s water-based surface modifiers, additives and polymers add value in a wide range of applications including wood care, industrial coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, and composites among others. With this direct and increased physical presence in India, customers can expect Michelman to quickly develop innovative technologies for the Indian market, plus expansion to service other coatings and manufacturing industries that they support worldwide," said Shah
