Also present on the occasion were secretary C N Mohan Kumar, treasurer T S Nagaraja, and faculty Michael Das.

The association runs the print testing and training centre at Chamarajpet in Bengaluru, with cooperation and support from Xerox India. The association has so far trained 600 students in the previous 24 batches. The duration of each batch is three months. While the training is given free, the association also supports placement for the students once the training is over.

The idea behind setting up the centre was to introduce more skilled labours in the printing fraternity and to also give opportunity to unemployed youths. The centre imparts training in fields such as DTP, PageMaker, CorelDraw, photoshop, printing, lamination, binding, plate making, digital printing and so on.

Experts from various fields in the printing industry are invited as guest lecturers, who impart information related to printing and management. The students are also given a chance to visit the printing units of the association members.

The association has also been instrumental in setting up of the unique Printech Park under cluster development at Harohalli Industrial Area at the outskirts of Bengaluru for all-round progress to compete and maintain international standards in printing.

Here, 57 acres of land, allotted by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board, has been bifurcated into 97 sites allotted to the association members, first of its kind in India.
