The aim behind the machine is to provide printing services based on the colour reproduction capabilities of the manufacturer’s proprietary high chroma toner. It can be used for photo books, photo merchandise, promotional materials, and other sophisticated print products.

“The colour production printing market is steadily growing and there can be no doubt that RGB data and the high chroma technology will continue to increase in importance in the future. In this context, Konica Minolta is introducing the third generation of high chroma products with the new Bizhub Press C71hc,” said Yuji Nakata, managing director, Konica Minolta India.

Due to the narrower colour range of a conventional CMYK printer, some of the colours seen in real life or on a monitor changes in print or appear less vivid. In contrast, the high chroma toner of the Bizhub Press C71hc has an extended colour range that is much closer to RGB than that of conventional CMYK toners.

According to the company, the machine is reliable in colour reproduction with advanced technologies, better colour management and has a higher productivity than its predecessors. The new machine has a higher life of its consumable parts, which keeps it running for more than its earlier model. The reliability on the heavier media is improved by increasing the turning radius.

Another asset of the Bizhub Press C71hc is its wide range of finishing capabilities and its combination with a workflow software Print Xpress. Features like booklet production, perfect binding, and auto ring binding and the extensive stacking capacity of up to 10,000 sheets allows one-step printing and finishing without manual intervention.

“Today’s communication channels cover print, online and mobile communication, so that professionals are changing their colour management from traditional CMYK to RGB. With the new generation of Konica Minolta’s production printing systems, the company doesn’t just offer the customers impressive colour reproduction over a wide range, it enables the users to get the best out of photos,” Nakata added.
