The Baddi-based Janus Packaging, the winner of the PrintWeek India Pre-press Company in the year 2011, has invested in the Kongsberg XE10 cutting and creasing table to provide a fast, high-quality solution for sample-making and short-run production of folding cartons.

Christian Korte, chief commercial officer at Esko who visited the PrintWeek India office on the eve of the show, said, “Our star applications for the show will be structural design ArtiosCAD, sample making Kongsberg cutting table and automation engine AE formerly known as BackStage. The target market for ArtiosCad and Kongsberg XE10 are those printing companies which are entering the packaging printing segment and AE is positioned at those packaging printers who want to optimise and automate their existing pre-press, which will eliminate errors and increase productivity."

Korte added, “We are focussing on the voice of the customer at Pamex; and underscoring how Esko’s pre-press packaging solutions have an important role to play.”

At Pamex, Esko plans to create a strong position and hopes to address the complete spectrum of printers especially the offset industry as well as the printers in the commercial printing space who have plans to move into packaging as well as other packaging converters who are looking at a diversified packaging printing. Esko also has its digital flexo technology with a range of CDI Flexo CTPs combined with HD flexo."
