Insight Communication puts spotlight on Soma Engineering and Komori-Chambon

Bhupendra Srivastava, director-sales at Insight Communication & Print Solution India, said, “Indian packaging industry is growing speedily. We are in a process of positioning the machines in the Indian market to cater to the packaging industry with advanced technologies from Soma and Komori-Chambon.”

Premia which is a central impression flexographic printing press was launched at Drupa 2012. It is targeted at mid- and wide-web applications starting from 850 mm up to 1,450 mm with a provision of eight printing units.

Komori-Chambon has aimed to provide customised end-to-end web-based solutions to the packaging printers. The machine can be integrated with offset, flexo or gravure printing units as per the requirement.

Thibault Mattlinger, area sales manager at Komori-Chambon, said, “We study the requirement of the printer and type of jobs and then customise the machine for him. The machine is capable of printing on paper, paperboard, laminated boards, plastic films etc. Indian customers opt for conventional systems as this is a new concept. We need to educate them. This is a challenge for us.”

Adding to Mattlinger's comment, Srivastava, said, “Komori-Chambon has installed machines at Golden Tobacco, Wimco Indsutries, Indian Security Press and TCPL. Our company focused at flexible packaging and we received a lot of enquiries for both the machines at Pack Plus South 2012.”
