“That’s the new development,” said Rohit Deshpande, director of the 46 year-old Indian company. The company has around 50 installations.

“We are the only Indian manufacturer of corona treatment at the show. But we have received a number of enquiries, both from the Indian as well as European printers.”

Deshpande added, “We are pleased that the Indian printers are becoming aware of the need of corona treatment. The European printers by default have corona treatment equipment fitted to their presses, because they do not want to take chances and the expense of running such a kit is negligible. That’s because there’s a certain advantage in doing this treatment.”

At the show, IEEC provided exclusive technical information about the corona treatment at the stand.

IEEC manufactures corona treatment equipment in 10-, 13, and 19-inch width, and can further scale it up to 900-mm for flexo, and beyond 900-mm in a different design for other applications.
