The five machines, HP Latex 370; HP Scitex 550 and FB750; HP Scitex 11000 and HP Scitex 15500, HP claims, will help the Indian print service providers (PSPs) specialising in the sign and visual communications to deliver results faster and at a lower total cost.

“PSPs and converters are challenged to do more applications and keep the productivity high, while reducing costs and working with limited space,” said Jeff de Kleijn, director and general manager, graphics solutions business – sign and display, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “Backed by HP Latex and Scitex technologies, the new printers address demanding PSP needs for lowering operational costs, increasing workflow efficiencies and broadening application versatility to drive profitable growth.”

The 64-inch HP Latex 370 Printer with the new three-litre third generation latex ink cartridges is capable of printing on traditional signage substrates like vinyl and banners to temporary textiles, canvas and wallpapers. It will also be available with HP Latex Mobile App for unattended printing.

The HP Scitex FB550 and HP Scitex FB750 now offer a new tabletop roll holder design with capability of printing on virtually any rigid or flexible media (up to 2.5inch).

With the new Scitex 11000 industrial press, HP claims, customers can increase versatility and productivity for their high volume indoor signage and display applications. A new HP Scitex Smart Coat Technology provides surface durability without an additional overcoat. According to HP, this places a thin, invisible layer on top of the image to enhance rigidity and protect against rubs, without compromising on flexibility.

The HP Scitex 15500 corrugated press is a new digital printing solution for production of displays, on-the-shelf packaging and other short-run corrugated applications. It uses HP’s HP High Definition Range (HDR) 230 Scitex Inks designed for paper board applications and media handling system that can print on warped boards.

HP are yet to announce exactly when the presses will be available worldwide.
