Hrishikesh Narute, owner of Harsh Docutech, said, the JWEI, which was installed in March 2018, is an ideal kit for prototyping and short-run production, which can tackle challenges of personalisation and fast delivery.

He added, “As a digital print service provider, our customers expect one-stop-solution for print as well as finishing. The JWEI has helped us target new market opportunities like short-run danglers, sample boxes, odd-shaped visiting cards, sticker half-cutting, vehicle parking stickers and the like.”

Harsh Docutech was established by Narute and his wife Shubhagi in December 2012. Narute is a print technologist with an MBA, while Shubhangi is a software engineer, who takes care of the graphic designing.

Narute initially started the firm in a 200 sqft rented space in Hadapsar in Pune, with a Xerox 252 and finishing machine brought from Hi-Tech Systems. In the next four years, Narute’s firm did enough business enabling him to acquire a 450 sqft space in a commercial complex in Pune.

“We did all kinds of job indoor and outdoor brand work. We added a Konica Minolta Bizhub 1060, and a 224e, to boost our digital print business,” said Narute.

Besides, Harsh Docutech is also equipped with HP Designjet Z5600 and a Polar 55EM cutting machine and a complete set of post-press machines including wiro and thermal laminating machines.

The installation was facilitated by TechNova, the Indian distributor for JWEI in India. “TechNova Service team helped us to understand the possibilities of the JWEI kit, while the marketing team supported in exploring in new applications.”
