Esko expands India market with new office in Mumbai
In a clear signal that the packaging and labels segment is growing leaps and bounds in India, Belgium-based Esko, a key player in the segment, has announced setting up of an additional facility in Mumbai. Seen as a major expansion of its business in India, the new office will take care of the company’s sales and service functions for the west India region.

Esko expands India market with new office in Mumbai
The new facility is located at Kohinoor City Mall, Kirol Road, Kurla and Shrihari Rao, sales - director of Esko India, will lead the operation, as part of the company's investment in the region, which includes recruiting local expertise and adding new talents.
“A large portion of our business in the South Asia region originates from the west of India and it requires us to be closer to our customers. Our expanded footprint with the full-fledged sales and support team operating from Mumbai will ensure that Esko continues to provide local presence and support to this growing market,” said Rao.
Last year, Esko moved its main India office to larger premises in Bangalore, where it hosts sales and service functions and accommodates a growing team of software developers and application engineers, systems integration architects and e-support services to customers around the world. In India since 1996, Esko, which has successful relationships with leading printers and manufactures in the country, spent the first years focusing on developing commercial opportunities.
Esko employs around 1,300 people worldwide. Its direct sales and service organization covers Europe, Middle East and Africa, the Americas and the Asia Pacific, Japan and China regions and is complemented by a network of distribution partners in more than 50 countries. It has R&D and manufacturing facilities in five European countries, the US, China and India.
