The company claims that the Epson SureColor SC-S30670 is its first ever eco-solvent-based printer to use the Epson Micro Piezo Thin Film Piezo (TFP) print head. The print head is engineered to deliver double the nozzle density with 720 nozzles per colour.

The printer has a maximum print resolution of 720x1440dpi and comes with optional heavy roll media system, which can handle up to 80kg of roll media, and an additional print drying system. Epson claims that the printer is enabled to print 29.4 sqm per hour at 720x720dpi banner qualityand 9.9 sqm per hour at 720x1440 dpi.

“The Epson SureColor SC-S30670 is the best-in-line signage printer for businesses prioritising total cost of ownership and performance as Epson provides a one-year warranty for all machine parts, while the new ink set enables greater flexibility on media choice thereby reducing printing cost,” explains Samba Moorthy, director – sales and marketing, Epson India.

The printer is Energy Star certified for low power consumption and operating mode and would be sold via authorized Epson retailers and resellers at a price of Rs. 8 lacs. Along with the S30670, the company has also launched a new set of eco-solvent inks called UltraChrome GS2. Epson will provide four UltraChrome GS2CMYK cartridges of 700 ml each with the S30670 printer as part of the initial bundled package.

“The newly formulated Epson UltraChrome GS2 eco-solvent inks will have light-fastness for up to three years, including yellow colour which is often the weakest ink in the ink set, therefore delivering long-lasting prints,” Moorthy adds.
