“Drupa 2016 has been very successful for us. More than 300 potential customers from across India visited the Horizon booth at Hall 6/D05 and witnessed demonstrations of innovative automated post-press equipment at display,” said Omprakash HR, managing director of ePrint machinery.

“Every customer who visited had only one requirement -- automation in post-press which would help lowering labour dependency. Horizon has the perfect solution for the high volume offset segment and POD segment or the latest trend ‘book of one’ production,” he added.

Sharing his thoughts on the show so far, Sundaramurthy M, director of ePrint machinery said, “Many leading book printers of India attended the live demo of the smart binding system for ‘book of one’ production and continuous book production with JDF connectivity. Many discussed with the experts at Horizon the various configurations suitable for their production environment too.”

“The order book has been filling quickly too. We have received confirmed orders for folding machines, pharma folding machines, one-clamp and four-clamp variable perfect binders, three-knife trimmers, single-knife with three-side trimmer, rotary die-cutter, creaser and folder, vertical forms collator, booklet makers, etc for offset and POD segments,” Omprakash added.

“We have also received many serious enquiries for the Uchida paper counting and banding machines,” added Sundaramurthy.

“Overall, it has been a happy Drupa for us, with lot of leads to follow up after returning to India,” concluded Omprakash.
