Photostory Automatica range of binding machines comes with creasing and folding in both reel and sheet format for digital prints. During his presentation, Graziano Vitali, CEO of Photostory, said, “The Automatica HS and HS+ can bind 1,000 prints plus 1000 easysheets/cardboards per hour. The machine can handle any kind of silver halide, digital and inkjet prints with a maximum print size 20X20-inch (closed photobook) and a maximum photobook thickness up to 3.5-inch.”

Sonal Sheth of Daya said, “The Photostory system is based on ‘sandwich technology’ using cardboard in between prints. Our machines don’t do back-to-back binding. The cardboard we use is Easysheet which is a pre-glued paper of variable thicknesses and colour and is 100% FSC certified.”

Daya will be manufacturing the raw materials (cardboard and pre-glued paper) locally. “This will be a cost-effective solution for the local print service providers and will enable us to service our clients effectively,” added Sheth.

According to Sheth, the company’s key strategy to participate in a trade show is to display its technological capabilities for meeting present and future demands of its customers. “Our objective is not only sale but also to understand the changing market demands and offer solutions in a cost-effective manner. Secondly, it’s a platform for networking, collaborations and public relations with all our present and future customers,” she said.
