Creative Repro Company 2015: DMA Yellow Works

Quality Awards

07 Oct 2015 | By PrintWeek India

The Mumbai firm takes home the award on the strength of its artwork creation with colour separation and image creation and rendering jobs for Baskin-Robbins and Taj Mahal Tea, among others.

Food images are generally chosen for their freshness and natural appeal, but for the Baskin-Robbins jobs, the company was faced with a drab, uninteresting image. The company improved the colour and details to enhance the image and make it look more interesting. Then, the task was to create a white base and modulate the opacity to make a magical impact with silver substrates to this design.

In case of the Taj Mahal Tea job, the brief was to use the original Taj Mahal motifs, but to make it contemporary and appealing without compromising on originality. It was a challenge for DMA Yellow Works to transform the aesthetics of the original into the rectangular chosen format. Then the task was to create a white base with different opacity to enhance the brand design motifs like the Taj Mahal image, with the use of a silver substrate.

Founded in 1997, the company has grown to become the largest branding agency in Asia Pacific. Today, it holds the record of being the first institutional brand strategy firm in India. The company believes if one brings in creative thinking and pursues original and organic thinking, ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
