Canon DreamLabo 5000 at Akruti is India’s sixth

Vijayawada-based digital powerhouse, Akruti Printex invested in a DreamLabo 5000, Canon’s sixth in India.

Akruti Printex, one of the leaders in wedding print industry, is a six-year-old company with its presence in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Vijayawada.
 
The DreamLabo 5000 makes use of the Canon’s inkjet photo printing technology which has a high-density printhead with the capability of 300mm wide printing. The seven-colour dye-based ink system delivers a speed of 1,000 A4 pages and 2,300 4x6 inches size pages per hour and is a substitute for the conventional silver halide technology.
 
The Dreamlabo also uses Canon’s FINE (Full-photolithography inkjet nozzle engineering) technology, which ensures that all the ink under the heater is pushed out in a single ejection for efficient performance.
 
“There is a vast opportunity for premium photo printing in the country which is led by the wedding photography segment. Our DreamLabo 5000 is indeed the best imaging solution for the industry globally,” said Puneet Dutta, director, professional printing products, Canon India.
 
Kazutada Kobayashi, president and CEO, Canon India said, “At Canon India, we continue to have the highest number of DreamLabo installations in South East Asia, which is a testament to the fact that India is ahead in adopting the marvels of technology.”
Besides, Vijayawada, the DreamLabo 5000 has been installed in Kochi, Bangalore and Mysore.
