After cricket, it’s print and pack in Sharjah

PrintWeek India looks at the important Indian exhibitors who are looking to make a mark at Print Pack Arabia and tap into the Middle East print industry which will reach $7 bn in 2015. The show is slated during 7-10 April

The inaugural Printpack Arabia aims to be a comprehensive sourcing platform for commercial and package printing in the Middle East. With nearly 1,700 printers in Middle East and North Africa region and total print revenue in the region expected reach $7 billion by 2015. The Middle East and North Africa region is expected to post double-digit growth rates. To tap into this apparent growth Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) are taking Printpack to Arabian shores for the first.
 
Alliance Printech
For its maiden participation in an overseas exhibition, Alliance had planned for exhibiting its automatic slitter rewinder for POS & ATM rolls production. But now the company will display posters, video, samples produced on our machines. The company will also showcase the features of its recently launched Precision sheeter machine for A4, A3, FS sheet production. The company has recently grabbed an export order for the sheeter machine from Ghana (Africa).
 
 
APL Machinery
APL Machinery is one of India’s leading manufacturers of UV coating and curing system and screen printing machines. The Faridabad-based firm has over 10,000 installations all over the world along with strategic tie-ups with leading US and German companies for latest in UV curing technologies.
 
APL Machinery will be showcasing its interdeck UV system and their range of screen printing systems. APL’s UV interdecks can be attached to any make and size of offset machines giving an extra advantage to printers for printing with UV ink on existing offset machine. With the help of this, PVC laminated board, metalized, laminated paper and board, plastic sheets and various other materials can be printed.
 
APL offers a range of screen printing machines manually operated, semi automatic and fully automatic screen printing machines. The company’s recent launch was it’s Atom flatbed screen printing machine which the company recently displayed at the Printpack Sign Digital in Ahmedabad. Its applications range from stickers,   glittering, ribbon printing, sheet gumming, ceramic coating, tile printing, paper printing, UV spot coating, UV full coating.
 
Baumer India
Baumer India was established in January 2007 as wholly-owned sales-service subsidiary of Baumer Group for India, UAE, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Baumer India is one of the leading manufacturers of gluing systems, sensors, rotary encoders and vision systems for diverse range industry segments such as print graphics, packaging, pharmaceutical machinery, food/beverage wind energy, cranes, steel, metal and material handling. The products on display would be the cold glue system and hotmelt system. 
 
 
 
 
Datasensor India
Datasensor India has been distributing datalogic products in India for around 30 years. The company has been working with different industrial segments including printing and packaging, pharma, food and beverages, automobile, auto ancillaries and general manufacturing. At the show, the company will showcase photo sensors, safety light guards, shaft encoders, barcode scanners (USS), ultrasonic sensors, laser marking machines, and vision sensor systems.
 
Five Star Printing Machinery
Started in 1981, Five Star Printing Machinery has been engaged in manufacturing of machinery for binding, printing and packaging industry.
Their range of products includes semi automatic paper cutting machine, programmable paper cutting machine, punching and creasing machine, die-cutting with hot foil stamping machine, double-head saddle-stitching machine, six -head saddle-stitching machine, half-cutting, title cover creasing and perforation machine, slitting machine, three-knife trimmer and complete range of corrugation box making machines.
 
Five Star Printing Machinery will be giving live demonstration of its semi-automatic double head saddle-stitching machine, hot foil stamping, embossing and die-cutting machine and auto-cutting, perforating and half-cutting machine.
 
Indo Poly Machines Corporation
The Amritsar-based ISO 9001:2008 certified company will make its debut in an overseas exhibition by participating at Printpack Arabia. The company will display and demonstrate its latest product Poly Master automatic surface-cum edge grinding machine with electro magnet chucks. The machine is suitable for re-grinding and paper -cutting knives including Polar, Seypa, Perfecta, Wohlenberg, Itoh models. The machine is also suitable for three-knife trimmers up to 1550mm in length at any angle from 0 to 90 degree. The company will be present in Hall 01, Stand 01A,
 
Innovative Flexotech
Founded in 2002, Ahmedabad-based Innovative Flexotech specialises in the manufacturing of flexo printing presses and photopolymer plate making technology, delivering products and other services and solutions.
Innovative Flexotech has a strong national and international presence. They work closely with customers in USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France, and Switzerland among others.
 
Inssta 3D Print
Another Ahmedabad-based firm Inssta 3D Print is one of the pioneers in the field of lenticular sheets manufacturing in India.
At Printpack Arabia Inssta 3D Print will showcase its range of lenticular substrates and sheets. Kirit Chauhan of Inssta 3D Print said, “Compared to our competitors we are flexible when it comes to customer’s demand, we offer our product no matter how small their demand plus we always try and work according to tight shipment schedules and limited budget.”
Lenticular is an auto stereoscopic solution. It allows the viewing of a 3D image without the need for special 3D glasses. It is based on a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to separate the left and right eye images, creating depth in printed images without special glasses.
 
Pratham Technologies
Pratham Technologies the Pune-based finishing equipment manufacturers will be showcasing their leaflet folding machine PGV VF615 and along with other finishing equipment accessories.
Since its establishment in 1988, Pratham Technologies has been manufacturing paper folding machines. Over the past few years, Pratham has diversified into various products and solutions including pile feeders for inserts folding, outsert systems, pharmaceutical packaging, vision inspection, mailing and variable data printing. Pratham now has customers in 11 countries across four continents.
 
Uflex
Uflex’s engineering division has been manufacturing packaging and converting machines since its inception in 1984. It is an integral part of Uflex Group of companies. Uflex Engineering division’s plants are spread over 11 acres in Noida and are designed for fast and sequenced multiple operations. In addition machine shops at Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and chemical division work as feeder units.
Uflex won’t be showcasing any of their machines at the show. But they are excited about meeting printers from the Middle East and interacting with them to understand their packaging and converting requirements.
