The CTP is supplied by TechNova Imaging Systems.

Virendra Gandhi of Sushobhit Printers said, “Earlier, most packaging jobs used to be long runs. Therefore, plate requirement was less. With companies today opting for short-run jobs, the number of plate requirement has increased manifold. To meet this demand, we decided to go for the high-speed thermal platesetter Thermostar T9.”

Gandhi said excellent after-sales services, support and supply were the three main reasons for the company to invest in Thermostar T9. “Whenever you need, TechNova’s technical support and application specialists are available. We got hands-on training from its technical team,” he added.

Sushobhit was established by Virendra Gandhi in 1987. Later, his brothers Tarun and Vijay joined the business. The company started with an offset printing press in Chandigarh and later shifted to Barwala Industrial Area in Haryana.

Its 400 sqmt print production facility in Barwala is equipped with six-colour Heidelberg with online coater, double-colour and single-colour Heidelberg with Apooge workflow software and other essential finishing equipment.

Gandhi said the company has already recovered a major portion of its investment in Thermostar T9. Since the new installation, it has also seen a 60% growth in productivity as now it doesn’t need to rely on Chandigarh-based service bureaus, which was an issue earlier due to the distance between Chandigarh and Barwala.
