The Pratishthan, which started its activities on 26 August 2015 in Pune, is dedicated to the betterment of printing education and recognition of those who have excelled in the printing industry.

As a first step in achieving this goal, the organisation has started awarding scholarships to deserving students of the printing faculty of the institutes run by Pune Vidyarthi Griha. Every year, it also felicitates one person from the printing industry for his/her outstanding work and contributions to the industry.

Last year, Madhavrao Ambavale alias Anna, a print industry veteran was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Mehul Desai of MOS and Ramu Ramanathan of PrintWeek India were the speakers.
