29 November is Indian print's night of nights
02 Nov 2018
Noel D'Cunha, managing editor of PrintWeek India and the Sunday Column brand custodian, says it best, "The search for excellence in the Indian print and packaging industry reaches its pinnacle on 29 November when PrintWeek India will announce the award winners."
A gala dinner for the delegates and VIPs will take place at St Regis. D'cunha said, "Rewarding the best in Indian industry from their body of work during the previous 12 months is a tough task. Which is why, we assembled a panel of 21 industry experts, made up of a cross-section of printers, suppliers, brand owners and retailers on 30 October to evaluate the 900+ samples."
"The judges were looking for work that made a difference nationally and internationally. Other than raising the standards within our industry, there’s a real feel-good factor just to have everybody’s hard work recognised amongst peers." D'cunha added, "This year we have major surprises. Print firms that were shortlisted last year have done extremely well this year. This goes to show, our industry is on an upward ascendancy. This is good news for all of us."
This is my first Awards Night, so I enquired what the previous editions have been like? The seniors in the team told me, "it is an inspiring evening, and even during the economic uncertainty of demon and GST, the assembled 300 or so guests did the industry proud. The room is always humming with positivity. In fact any outsider who attends the Awards Night says, it is a dynamic and robust industry and they love doffing their hats to the winners."
Now in its 10th year, the PrintWeek India Awards are a celebration of excellence in print and packaging. The Awards Night show will be broadcast on BTVi - which is a premier English business news channel that bridges the gap between opinion seekers and opinion drivers.
