After yet another thrilling week which witnessed editorial assistant Amogh Dikshit’s Brazil knocked out by managing editor Noel D’cunha’s Belgium and hosts Russia put to the sword by Croatia in a nail-biter, we get down to our final four.

Semi-finals kick off on Tuesday 10 July at 11.30 pm IST with technical editor Rushikesh Aravkar’s young French team facing Noel D’cunha’s Belgium in the battle of the favourites. The consistent young French team defeated Uruguay to book a place in semis whereas Belgium defeated tournament favourite Brazil to end the South American contention in the world cup.

On Saturday, editorial assistant Sujith Ail’s, England comfortably defeated a hapless Sweden. England being the tournament’s youngest squad has shown the level of maturity required to play at the biggest stage. In the most exciting match of the quarter-finals, Croatia defeated spirited hosts Russia in a penalty shoot-out. In the second semi-final, young England would face over-performing Croatia to book a spot in the finals on Wednesday 12 July at 11.30 pm IST.

The tension is not just increasing on the field, but in the PrintWeek India’s office as well. Whose side are you on?
