Describe your company.
Chhattisgarh Publication & Printers is located in Central India. We offer total print solution for short to large print runs to the commercial market. We have also ventured into the printing and publishing of books and newspaper.
What does the machine do?
The Naph Koncept 4-Hi tower is a side multi-colour web printing tower with a quarter folder and a cut-off size of 578 mm. It caters to newspaper and textbook printing plus the publication sector.
Why did you choose this particular machine?
The machine is capable of four-colour printing on both the sides with built in reel stand underneath the printing unit. This saves lot of space on the shopfloor.
Did you look at any other similar machine?
We did look at other Indian manufacturers, but Naph Graphics is a reputed brand in terms of quality and service.
Why did you make the purchase?
We wanted to invest in a economical machine which could match the production requirements. Koncept 4-Hi tower matched our requirements.
What features do you particularly like?
The rigid frame and the special Koncept arrangement of the cylinders help in better control of the web. The quarter folder has a short setup time. The brush mist dampening system is efficient and provides good results.
How fast is it?
It has a speed of 35,000 copies per hour.
What’s the quality like?
The press is sturdy and has reliable technology demanding less maintenance.
Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
Nothing in particular.
How easy is it to use?
Being the Koncept model the machine uses pneumatic systems which makes it very operator friendly.
Has it won you any new work?
It helped us enter the textbook market. We gained the order for printing textbooks in our state, Chattisgarh.
How much time or money has it saved?
I cannot define how much time or money it has saved because this is a new venture of ours.
Would you say that it offers value for money?
We cater to the textbook market, so considering the short season and increasing competition, I’m sure it is value for money. On top of it, we save on wastage and manpower.
Any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
No, the installation was very smooth. We started production in 20 days, after the installation.
What about the pre- and after-sales service?
The company provides excellent pre- and post-sales service and prompt follow ups.
Who do you think the machine is right for?
The machine is suited for newspapers, textbook printers, publishers and export houses.
Under what circumstances would you invest in another?
The second machine is already into consideration. We would like to scale up the production.
