When PrintWeek India asked Sanjeev Bhargava, Premier Packaging as to why he invest in the machine, he said, “We could see the business growing wherein lamination was desirable in almost 60% of the jobs. We had a tough time managing it on three different conventional lamination machines and 20 people working to substantiate the complete process.

Premier who invested in the machine a year ago specialises in paperboard packaging and the machine is used to laminate packages.

Bhargava said, “The machine had all round benefits as far as the process of lamination goes. We could maximise on production, time, and manpower.”

He added, “We have definitely saved on wastages and the turnaround time has been a lot faster. Plus the prime reason happens to be less of the manual invention in the complete process.”

The Taiwanese make dry lamination machine uses water-based adhesives for lamination. The machine can run at a speed of 20-60metre/minute and is equipped with one Jumbo Roller diameter of 800mm for laminating and drying by hot water circulation system. Since, the machine uses water-based glue, it is environment friendly.

Hyderabad’s pre-owned equipment dealer Techno Graphic Services, which has been selling Taiwanese Wen Chyuan lamination and UV coating machines in India, has reinforced its brand new equipment portfolio by inking deals with four Taiwanese post-press machine manufacturers – SBL Group, Golden Tec Machinery, Datien Industrial Company, and Fulontek Enterprises Company.

TGS India has installed more than 35 Wen Chyuan machines in India at the top players' including Pragati Pack, Parksons Packaging, TCPL, Borkar Packaging, Singhania Offset, Thomson Press, Yamir Packaging, and Canpac Trends among others.

Wen Chyuan’s Drupa stand Hall 11/ Stand B63 will demonstrate lamination, spot varnishing and coating machines.
