The company, which has been in commercial printing and photo albums and related products for nearly four decades, is looking to labels as its next growth driver. Commercial printing is in decline, and the once-steady photo market has stagnated. For owner Mukesh Tanwani, the solution was to diversify into labels, where client demand has been rapidly moving.

Tanwani said the decision was prompted by numerous queries from clients about sheet labelling. They cost extra, had to be applied by hand, and frequently left creases. Roll-to-roll labels, on the other hand, can be applied by applicator, providing products a more consistent and superior appearance. "Customers desire labels that appear real and uniform,” Tanwani said.

The company decided to go for the PRPC 330 because it integrates many processes into a single system. It supports white and CMYK printing, varnish, foil, and digital cutting. Competing options would necessitate three or four separate machines and as many operators. “With this machine, one operator can handle the entire workflow. It simplifies operations and cuts costs," Tanwani explained.

The financial case was solid. The investment was around one-fourth that of comparable equipment on the market, greatly lowering the barrier to entry. Packnology Graphics was chosen not just for its technology, but also for the confidence it has earned over the years. The company had previously supplied two digital cutting machines, and this was the third investment in the partnership.

The installation is expected to provide immediate and long-term benefits. In the medium term, it enables Titu Prints to transition from sheet to roll production and meet existing orders more effectively. In the long run, it prepares the company to enter the rising packaging and labelling markets, even as traditional printing contracts and customer expectations evolve quickly.
