The press offers faster job changeovers, operator-assist functions and improved energy efficiency, all of which the company expects will support higher productivity and consistency on the shopfloor.

Established in 1995, Suve Graphics provides printing services for calendars, wedding invitations, brochures, flyers, letterheads and books. The company is led by managing director S Kumar, who has more than 30 years of experience in the printing industry.

Kumar said the decision to invest in the RMGT 920ST followed a detailed evaluation of multiple presses. “We were operating three older machines — a Ryobi 524, a Komori L426 and a Ryobi 750 wide. When we considered an upgrade, we looked at options from other companies as well,” he said. “Ultimately, the RMGT stood out for its stability, its compact footprint, and the reliable service backup from Provin Technos. We’ve worked with Provin for many years, and their support and spare pricing were major reasons for choosing RMGT.”

The company crossed two million impressions within the first month of operation. Kumar was pragmatic about the output: “The volume we achieved is largely because we are a commercial printer handling long-run books. With this format size and speed, any comparable press would have helped us reach similar numbers. But the RMGT has been smooth and consistent from day one.”

According to Kumar, the investment marks a strategic shift for Suve Graphics. “For the first time, we decided to buy a brand-new machine instead of pre-owned. Our older presses were from 2008 or 2010 and came with recurring issues. A new machine gives us peace of mind for the next five to ten years. Even a second-hand machine would have cost around INR 2.5 crore, so it made sense to invest in a new one.”

He added that the company is unlikely to return to used presses in the future: “Going forward, I will only invest in brand-new equipment.”

According to Suve Graphics, the RMGT 920ST is helping improve turnaround times and reduce wastage. Kumar added, “RMGT stands for reliability, and Provin Technos ensures that reliability translates seamlessly into performance.”
