The portfolio spans analogue and digital technologies, from UV flexo and UV LED to water-based systems and electron beam solutions for labels, sleeves and packaging. On display are SolarWave Integra UV LED flexo inks, SolarWave FSP low migration grades, SolarWave Panther high-density blacks, and SunWave LED coatings in gloss, matt and stampable finishes. Screen technologies include the SolarScreen Wave range and migration-compliant whites for labels and sleeves. The SolarVerse mixing system is also featured, offering converters simplified colour management and sustainability benefits.
Visitors are seeing Sun Chemical’s approach to advancing circular packaging. Demonstrations include a recyclable ink and coating system combining SolarWave Integra with EV-LU029, and SolarFlex CRCL inks designed for compatibility with deinking processes. Electron beam-curable inks for mono-material packaging structures are also being shown. Alongside these are new migration-compliant screen inks and tactile varnishes.
The digital ink portfolio is a further highlight. Sun Chemical is demonstrating new UV and UV LED formulations that comply with recent regulatory updates and work across a wide range of substrates. The stand also features primers, coatings and lamination adhesives optimised for integration with digital workflows. Global production capacity supports local supply, helping converters reduce lead times, emissions and logistical risks.
Colour management remains central to the company’s pitch. The SunColorBox suite of tools is being presented as a way for converters to ensure accurate colour communication across the packaging supply chain. Whether printing spot colours, CMYK or extended gamut, the system provides consistency from design through to production.
Jonathan Sexton, marketing director for narrow web and screen, says visitors are engaging strongly with the breadth of the offer. “We are proud to present one of the most comprehensive portfolios for label and packaging printing across both analogue and digital platforms,” he explains. “Our innovation in UV, UV LED, EB and digital ink technologies, combined with a clear sustainability focus and global support infrastructure, enables us to provide converters with tailored solutions that deliver performance, compliance and environmental responsibility.”
With its extensive presence at Fira Gran Via, Sun Chemical is showing how converters can adapt to sustainability pressures and digital transformation. Its mix of conventional, hybrid and digital products is pitched at enabling the wider adoption of inkjet technology and the development of circular packaging workflows.
