Two Mumbai-based print companies, First Impressions and Prodon Enterprises ran neck-to-neck, emerging as joint winners, thanks to their entries comprising wedding cards, swatch books, brochures and a book case.
The samples from Prodon Enterprises wowed the judges with a truly standout sample kit and swatch book with absolutely beautiful prints, which include Netrawala Group for Shirin Netrawala, The seal of perfection for Phoenix Mills, Paper Sample Book for Jayraj, and The Yoga Sutra of Sage Patanjali (three parts) for Commercial Art Engravers.
Among the print jobs, the Jayraj Swatch Book was printed using different lpi for different substrates, while the inner board for Yoga Sutra of Sage Patanjali was cut with a special edge so that a 90 degrees corner for the top cover could be achieved. A Mitsubishi Diamond 1000LS printed five colours which was put through foiling and spot UV.
