Sebro Art Printers has boosted its production capabilities with the installation of a Weigang ZJR 350 eight-colour servo-driven modular flexo printing machine at its Mumbai facility. Supplied and commissioned by Intergraphic Sales & Services, the new press is aligned with the company’s long-term plan to serve diverse and high-value packaging markets.

With more than 33 years in self-adhesive, shrink sleeves, BOPP and in-mould label printing, Sebro Art Printers has consistently expanded its range of offerings since its inception in 1987. According to the company, rising customer expectations for faster deliveries, advanced graphics and support for multiple substrates prompted the need for a technology upgrade.

“The Weigang ZJR 350 offered the ideal mix of UV and LED curing, unique sleeve capabilities, and a fully servo-driven design,” said Maulik Ajmera, spokesperson for Sebro Art Printers. “It allows us to handle shrink sleeves, BOPP and IML jobs with greater consistency and flexibility, features usually associated with much bigger players in the market.”

Ajmera added that Weigang’s modular architecture and proven reliability were key differentiators in the investment decision. The automation features, he noted, have helped reduce setup times, improve registration accuracy and minimise waste, ultimately making Sebro’s workflow more efficient and cost-effective.

He also acknowledged the role of Intergraphic Sales & Services in ensuring a successful installation. “The onboarding experience was smooth, supported by practical operator training and a highly responsive technical team from Intergraphic. Their guidance has been invaluable in optimising the press since day one,” he said.

With this addition, Sebro Art Printers aims to expand its footprint in the packaging sector and respond to increasingly complex customer requirements. “This investment strengthens our ability to grow sustainably, diversify our portfolio and deliver greater value to our customers,” Ajmera concluded.
